Rangers acquire defenseman Darnell Nurse from Rangers

The Edmonton Oilers have agreed to acquire defenseman/defenceman Darnel Nurse from the Los Angeles Kings for a second-round pick in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft, NHL.com’s Elliotte Friedman reported.

The 27-year-old Nurse, who is coming off a breakout season in 2017-18 with the Texas Stars, was originally selected by the Kings with the seventh overall pick in 2010.

He has scored 22 goals and 51 points in 71 games with the Kings since signing a three-year entry-level contract in March of 2019.

The Rangers are expected to receive a second round pick in 2018.
